On 23.09.2026, Special Commando unit arrested and handed over to Sekmai PS, Seram Banerjee Meitei (30 yrs), S/o Seram Brojendro Singh of Khongman Atom Leirak, Zone-IV for his involvement in an FIR case related to firing upon security personnel at Khonghampat earlier.
On thorough examination at the PS, the following arms and ammunition were recovered from his instance:

1. AK Rifle – 1 No.
2. INSAS magazine – 2 Nos.
3. 36 Hand Grenade – 1 No.
4. Ammunition – 71 assorted live rounds of different calibres.
   Investigation is in progress.
