As per requisition from T8 – Guduvanchery Police Station, Tamil Nadu, in connection with a case, police support was sought to trace two accused persons who were suspected to be hiding and taking shelter in Jiribam area.

One of the accused, Manik Uddin Laskar (22) S/o Monir Uddin Laskar of Sonabarighat, Sonai, Cachar, Assam was arrested from Inter-Village Road of Lalpani to Rasidpur, Jiribam, on 28/08/2026. The co-accused Bhagabati Majhi @ Ayesha Begum (21) W/o Manik Uddin Laskar & D/o Chatoray Majhi of Radhapur Village, PS-Saharpada, District Kendujhar, Odisha was also arrested from Kashimpur Village, Jiribam, on 29/08/2026 by the joint team of Jiribam District Police and Tamil Nadu Police.

The arrested persons are being handed over to the SHO, T8 – Guduvanchery Police Station, Tamil Nadu for further necessary formalities.
