DGP Manipur Shri Mukesh Singh visited the Jiribam District by travelling from Imphal via NH-37. The visit that lasted for two days from the 9th to 10th of October 2026, included inspection of IDP resettlement localities in Jiribam and Borobekra sub-divisions and security review. During a security review meeting conducted along with SP Jiribam, CO 7th IRB and senior officers of Assam Rifles, CRPF and RPF, he highlighted the significant role of Jiribam District as the Eastern Gateway of Manipur and the critical law and order situation in view of ongoing resettlement efforts. He also discussed and gave instructions to tackle the menace of illicit drug trafficking through the region. He also met CSO leaders of all communities resident of Jiribam at District Police HQ Jiribam, including Meitei, Hmar, Naga, Kuki and Paite communities, and took suggestions and praised their efforts in maintaining a peaceful law and order situation in the District.
He also inspected the District Police infrastructure including the SP Office, Battalion Headquarter of 7th IRB, Jiribam Police Station and Borobekra Police Station.
