On 14/08/2026, on getting a reliable information regarding concealment of arms and ammunition by armed groups, a combined team of CDO Unit/Kakching, Arong-PS and 46 Assam Rifles launched a search operation at Double Khong Marifangbi canal area under Arong Police Station, during which, inter alia, the following were recovered:
i. 01 (one) 9 mm Pistol,
ii. 01 (one) .303 LMG,
iii. 03 (three) INSAS Rifles,
iv. 04 (four) single barrels,
v. 30 (thirty) magazines of different arms,
vi. 2156 (two thousand one hundred and fifty six) live rounds ammunition of different calibers, and
vii.157 (one hundred fifty seven) empty cases.
