Two Drug Smugglers Arrested with 190 Bottles of Codeine-Based Contraband in Imphal East

On 03.09.2026, CDO/Imphal East arrested two drug smugglers from Khabam Lamkhai, Imphal East:
- Md. Afzal Khan (24)
- Md. Zamir Ahamed @Athoiba (24)
They had procured the contraband from Maram, Senapati, for ₹50,000 and were attempting to sell it for ₹1 lakh.
Seizure: 190 bottles of codeine-based contraband, one Maruti Suzuki Swift and two mobile phones.
