Project Hinchi, a joint initiative of Manipur Police & NCB in Churachandpur District to curb poppy cultivation through sustainable alternative farming, has won the SKOCH Gold Award in Police & Safety category.

With CSR support of Rs. 28 lakhs, 154 households were provided 55,000 kgs ginger seeds, 6,500 banana saplings & 700 kgs pea seeds. 254 acres previously under poppy in Churachandpur have been converted to alternative crops, with produce marketed to local CAPF units.
