As part of the commemorative events organized to mark the 150th Birth Anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, Manipur Police Training College, Pangei organised a “Unity Run” on 06/09/2026 in collaboration with six local clubs/organisations namely (i) YDA, Waiton Maning Leikai, (ii) YDC, Waiton Mamang Leikai, (iii) Prince Club, Waiton Makha Leikai, (iv) NSC, Khundrakpam Mayai Leikai, (v) PYYDA, Pangei Yangdong & (vi) THOUGEI, Pangei.

A total of 213 runners participated in the Unity Run, including 108 runners from MPTC, Pangei and 105 runners from various local clubs. The run was flagged off by Shri Sorokhaibam Gautam Singh, IPS, Deputy Director, i/c Director, Manipur Police Training College, Pangei. The event was aimed at strengthening police-public relations in maintaining peace, safety and security of the area.

Cash prizes of Rs. 3,000/-, Rs. 2,000/- & Rs. 1,000/- were awarded to the 1st, 2nd & 3rd position holders respectively. Further, 4 consolation prizes of Rs. 1,000/- each were also awarded to the 4 female runners.
