On 5th August 2026, based on input provided by DESAM, Airport Police Station detained 15 persons (6 females and 9 males) who arrived at Imphal Airport in a Delhi–Imphal IndiGo flight and handed over to Singjamei-PS, along with 79 luggages containing the following items:

1. Jack Daniel’s – 54 Nos. (750 ml each),
2. Smirnoff (Minty Jamun) – 60 Nos. (750 ml each),
3. Smirnoff (Mirchi Mango) – 36 Nos. (750 ml each),
4. Jameson Whiskey – 141 Nos. (750 ml each) and 25 Nos. (200 ml each),
5. Monkey Shoulder Whiskey – 9 Nos. (750 ml each),
6. Black Label Whiskey – 7 Nos. (750 ml each),
7. Irish Smith Whiskey – 4 Nos. (750 ml each),
8. Bushkill Whiskey – 22 Nos. (750 ml each),
9. The Glenlivet – 15 Nos. (750 ml each),
10. Johnnie Walker – 24 Nos. (750 ml each),
11. Absolut Vodka – 40 Nos. (750 ml each),
12. Cotton Mouth Wine – 12 Nos. (750 ml each),
13. Jacob’s Creek Wine – 14 Nos. (750 ml each),
14. Red Label Whiskey – 11 Nos. (750 ml each),
15. Singleton Whiskey – 12 Nos. (750 ml each),
16. Glenfiddich Whiskey – 12 Nos. (750 ml each),
17. Blue Label Whiskey – 6 Nos. (750 ml each),
18. Glenmorangie Whiskey – 12 Nos. (750 ml each),
19. Indri – 3 Nos. (60 ml each).

Total: 519 bottles of IMFL.

An enquiry is being done in this regard and the seized items and individuals will be handed over to Excise Department for further legal action.
