As part of the year-long observance of Rashtriya Ekta Diwas (National Unity Day) 2026, the 5th India Reserve Battalion (5th IRB), Chingarel organised a Community Outreach Programme today, 30 July 2026, at Leishemba Maheikol, Kangla Chingarel, Imphal East.

The programme aimed to sensitise young students on the importance of national unity, peace, harmony and integrity in building a strong, progressive and vibrant nation.

Messages highlighting the relevance of Rashtriya Ekta Diwas for the unity and integration of the nation were shared with the students.

Around 200 students of Leishemba Maheikol, Kangla-Chingarel participated enthusiastically.

A quiz competition on National Unity Day and the values of national integration was also held to engage students and spread awareness.

The programme concluded with a renewed commitment to promote the ideals of unity, peace and brotherhood, and to contribute towards building a strong, peaceful, vibrant and united India.
