On 23rd July 2026, at around 10:40 am, acting on reliable inputs about presence of hardcore UKNA leaders in old Gelmol Village, Churachandpur District, who have been indulging in subversive and terrorist activities prejudicial to the security of the State and Nation, Manipur Police along with AR, Indian Army and CRPF conducted CI Ops and apprehended an individual subsequently identified as S Palal Kuki s\/o Late Letjang of Molnom Village.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
During the course of examination, the arrested individual admitted he was the s\/s Finance Head of UKNA. Manipur Police, during the last couple of weeks, through diligent and sustained investigation coupled with human intelligence, interrogation techniques with technical indicators provided by digital forensics experts, successfully uncovered subversive plans and operations conducted by the individual with other UKNA operatives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
S Palal Kuki was found involved in the following cases –<\/p>\n\n\n\n
i. 16th December 2025: Torbung Bomb Blast FIR No. 167(12)2025 CCP PS.
ii. Intervening night of 3rd & 4th February, 2026: firing in Molnom area regarding Manipur Government formation case FIR No. 17(02)2026 CCP-PS.
iii. 4th July 2026: firing in Kaprang area on the eve of Hon\u2019ble Chief Minister\u2019s visit to CCP FIR No. 66(07)2026 CCP PS.
iv. 25th March 2026: first recce of the general area \u2013 firing incident with CRPF.
v. 26th March 2026: firing near CRPF camp in Bishnupur District FIR No. 12(03)2026 PGCI PS.
vi. The critical breakthrough came when the individual was also found to be one of the main persons involved in the Tronglaobi Case FIR No. 23(4)2026 Moirang PS (now RC-04\/2026\/NIA\/IMP) which involved a deadly bomb attack on April 7, 2026, in Tronglaobi Awang Leikai, Bishnupur district, Manipur. A close-range explosion hit a civilian house, killing two young siblings\u2014a 5-years-old and a 5-months-old\u2014and critically injured their mother, Oinam Binita.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
