Today, 26\/07\/2026, at around 6.15 pm, on receiving reliable inputs regarding movement of armed miscreants at Wakha Ching area, Imphal East, teams of Special Commando Unit, Khabeisoi led by Dr. S. Ibomcha Singh, IPS, Commandant, 6th IRB & i\/c Special Commando Unit comprising of OC Special CDO Unit, Subedar L. Bibekananda Singh and a team of 6th IRB rushed to the area and started frisking, checking and search of the area.
After extensive search operations, the teams detected 4 suspicious Plastic bags in the jungle area of Wakha Hill , opposite Shelloi Langmai Composite Farm and recovered the following 29 arms with magazines :
1) SLR – 5 nos.
2) Insas with straight butt- 2 nos.
3) Insas with folding butt- 2 nos.
4) AK Ghatak with butt- 2 nos.
5) Insas LMG- 1 no.
6) .303 Rifles- 06 nos.
7) DBBL- 03 nos.
8) SBBL- 07 nos.
9) Pump action gun.
The other recoveries include –
Lathode bomb – 01
.303 live rounds- 530 nos.
7.62 SLR live rounds- 64 nos.
Insas live rounds -19 nos.
5.56 carbine live rounds-06 nos.
Drill Cartridges-40 nos.
.303 Rifle chargers- 17 nos.
